We hit 6 years old in April, and to make the celebration extra special we're co-hosting a pair of parties alongside Liverpool's Keep It Cryptic crew. On Friday 5th we're touching down in Liverpool for a party in an as yet unannounced location, before heading back to Sheffield on Saturday 6th April for part 2, Which'll be our final party at Bal Fashions (after 6 years in the gaff) before we make the move to Sadacca permanent. Emotions will be high all round!
And we're super excited to have the superb Cami Layé Okún joining us on both nights, a selector we've been hoping to bring along for a party for a while now, and whose selections will be absolutely magic through our soundsystem.
Cami's a DJ, selector and radio host hailing from Cuba. This killer artist has played in some of the finest spots around the world, bringing her infectious Cuban & Afro-Latin sounds and extensive vinyl record collection to the dancefloor, as well as to the airwaves with her fortnightly 'Insolar' radio show on NTS. An artist who is constantly searching for the stories that can be found within music, Cami is a passionate digger of music from all around the world, boasting a vinyl collection which includes Cuban disco, Afro-Caribbean rarities, Tropical Amazonian funky grooves and much more. We rate her super highly and cannot wait for her to join us for the full weekend!
Our good pal Ché from the Keep It Cryptic crew will be joining us on the night as well, a DJ whose curation abilities we saw first hand at We Out Here last year after they hosted one day of the stage we provided sound for. A great ear, wonderful taste, and a superb record collection were all made very evident, and it'll be a vibe to link up once again for this!
Residents/hosts Nonna Fab & Joi La Frique will be there too as always, closing the party down for their final time at the venue we've called home for 6 years, with the apricot system in full effect and tweaked to perfection.
Tickets start at £6, rising to £15 on the door, so worth picking one up nice and early!
