3월 15일 금요일, 팔레스타인 사람들이 직면한 긴급한 인도주의적 위기에 대해 대응하기 위해 제작한 컴필레이션 앨범 ‘For Gaza’가 발매됩니다. 한국 언더그라운드 전자음악가들의 13개 트랙이 수록된 이 앨범은 팔레스타인 사람들에게 필수적인 지원과 도움을 제공하고 한국의 리스너들에게 상황에 대한 인식을 높이는 것을 목표로 하고 있습니다. 3월 15일 당일, 충무로 인근에 있는 @acs.kr 에서 발매 이벤트가 진행되며, 현장에서 컴필레이션 앨범을 USB 형태로 구매할 수 있습니다. 당일 이벤트에는 DJ뿐만 아니라 2003년부터 이스라엘의 팔레스타인 식민지화, 아파르트헤이트, 군사점령 문제를 한국 사회에 알리며 팔레스타인 해방운동에 연대하는 페미니스트 단체 ‘팔레스타인평화연대’의 지연 활동가의 연대 발언도 있을 예정입니다. 이벤트와 USB 판매 수익 전체는 현재 위기에 처한 사람들을 위해 음식, 보호소, 의료용품, 트라우마 지원 등 중요한 지원을 제공하기 위해 현장에서 적극적으로 활동하는 신뢰할 수 있는 상호 지원 조직에 전달될 예정입니다.
Friday March 15th sees the release of the fundraiser compilation ‘For Gaza’, in response to the urgent humanitarian crisis facing the Palestinian people. Featuring 13 tracks by artists in the underground Korean electronic scene, the album is dedicated to providing essential support and aid to the victims, and raising awareness about the situation for electronic music lovers in Korea.
On Friday we will hold a release event at ACS.kr where we will be selling the compilation as a USB. As well as DJs, the event will feature a speaker from 팔레스타인평화연대, a feminist organisation who’s members have been informing Korean society of the issues of Israel’s colonisation of Palestine, apartheid, and military occupation since 2003.
100% of proceeds from the event and music sales will be directed towards trusted mutual aid organisations actively working on the ground to provide critical assistance, including food, shelter, medical supplies, and trauma support for those affected by the crisis.
