Avril 14th, an annual unofficial Aphex Twin tribute event featuring local DJs and Live PA Artists.
These artists have been curated in a way that brings various artists from different generas in our community and places them under one Aphex umbrella. If you like a lot of adrenaline with your nostalgia, this ones for you.

✹ Hrdvsion ✹
When you have explored as many styles as Hrdvsion has - everything from beatless, ambient tracks to rugged club cuts or pop bootlegs - there isn’t so much new ground to break.
That said, with time Hrdvsion's need to challenge the norm has eased and their boundlessly experimental streak has become more focused. Their impressive discography, spread across labels such as Wagon Repair, 20:20 Vision, Rinse and International Deejay Gigolo, hints at a producer who has valued diversity above all, with records that have been long turned to by DJs right across the board, always guaranteeing them a striking and unusual sound.
Now, without the pressure to surprise and re-invent, Hrdvsion can go deeper into their craft and pinpoint what it is that linked their output over the years.

✹ Bronwyn ✹
Bronwyn has been collecting electronic music since the 90's, intentionally curating DJ sets that colour outside the usual lines of genre and tempo. In her free time she secretly likes to wax the nip so that you can stop making that big face, but she still cares even though you don't.

✹ Fallow Twin ✹ Live
Fallow Twin is a BC-based DJ and producer known for maximalist all-hardware Live PA sets that his partner says sound “too skittery”. Wide-ranging in style and genre, his tracks jump from melodic acid, techy dub, frenetic drum chops, and resting ambient.

✹ Hitori Tori ✹ Live
Hitori Tori is the alias of Julian La Brooy, a musician hailing from Vancouver, Canada. With a unique approach to his craft, he utilizes sound trackers, audio samplers and synthesizers to create his sound. His musical style is a fusion of IDM, Acid Jungle, and Breakcore. Live performances are characterized by improvised controller jams, leaving audiences captivated and craving more. With a keen ear for innovative sound design and a penchant for pushing boundaries, Hitori Tori delivers tracks that embrace experimentation, earning him a devoted fan base
around the globe. Musical releases can be found on record labels such as Murder Channel (JPN), Occult Research (US), EVEL (ESP) and Kitty on Fire (CA).

✹ Van Hassel ✹
Van Hassel is a dedicated music producer with a love for sound design, drum and bass, and sketchy tripped out breaky bass music. He has spent countless hours refining and evolving his sound and continues to dream up assortments of compositions using synthesis, stupid noises, and whatever peculiar samples he stumbles upon in his excessively indulgent auditory pursuit. He now focuses mainly on producing drum and bass which has accelerated his productions significantly. Van Hassel’s DJ sets consist of
jungle, dark dnb, and whatever weird shit he can refresh and break up the journey with.

✹ Apex Twink ✹ VJ
Reylinn aka Apex Twink is a Vancouver based audio/visual artist, DJ, and radio host. They’re a founding member of Acceleration Radio, an open format FM radio, live stream and events collective with a focus on audio/visual experimentation. Attracted to the contrasting aesthetics of the natural and synthetic, their VJ work recontextualizes video recordings captured in daily life for spaces of catharsis.
