Big love to everyone who have been coming to our monthly parties at our spiritual home Garnethill Multicultural Centre for almost 2 years now. We're excited to announce a Warehouse Special with our friend JG Wilkes (Optimo) in the beautiful Strange Field venue.
About Good Clean Fun
Good Clean Fun is an alcohol and drug free party that strips modern dance culture of its excesses. It is run by a small group of people in recovery who want to provide a quality clubbing space for people who don’t drink or use drugs (or who are curious about cutting down). Our parties are a melting pot of people of all ages (16+), genders, sexualities, religions and ethnicities etc (all the best parties are). It's a public event but it feels like a good house party. We use ambient light (vintage floor lamps, hanging festoons and candles) and have lots of areas to sit or lie down and chill.
Food + Drink
Kombucha and hot tea and coffee and variety of soft drinks available. Veg Curry (£6); Samosa's (£2.50) Baklava Selection, Pick n Mix and various fruits and cakes available throughout the night for extra energy.
Newcomers
A lot of people come on their own which has been really cool to see. If you are coming to the party solo, or for the first time, feel free to give us a message on Instagram DM and we will keep an eye out for you. Our regulars will be floating around for a chat and welcome to anyone thats feeling the usual pre-party nerves.
Venue
Formerly Barrowfield Weaving Factory which was built in 1899 by John French & Son., Strange Field is now a multi-purpose arts and community venue in the East End of Glasgow. It's stripped back and industrial and we're buzzing to transplant our homely Good Clean Fun set up into the venue for a big house party.
