Ambient Sundays aim to offer an alternative sonic journey into the world of ambient music and all its varieties: heavenly pads, slow percussion jams, delta waves, quadraphony, and eastern strings, in either a live or DJ format.
In the second edition of Ambient Sunday, we are delighted to present two live sets. Swedish and Norwegian improvisation in beautiful harmony delivered by Johanna Knutsson (SE) and North Atlantic OSC (NO).
First up this Sunday is the Swede, Johanna Knutsson. Traveling all the way from Malmö for the occasion, she will present an ambient set based on improvisation. Her curiosity about the boundaries of music is clearly shown in her latest projects, "Tollarp Transmissions" (Kontra-Musik, 2019) and "Dingsbums Homage" (Patience, 2022), two colorful and emotional albums.
"North Atlantic OSC" is the new live project by Marius Bakke and Lars Andreas Forthun. The live set will be played on multiple channels, aiming to take the audience on a journey into an all-encompassing soundscape inspired by the North Atlantic area.
To top it off, video artist Ola Lysgaard will set the visuals to the music. We also provide coffee, included in the ticket price, and lay out pillows and comfortable chairs.
