On April 12, at Bassiani, Hyper Real, a platform for the new, boundless intersection of musical directions—uncompromising and radical both aesthetically and politically—will present Michail Stangl, aka Opium Hum, the founder of Hyper Real and curator of CTM Festival, the best-known for the iconic voice and face of the first decade of Boiler Room's broadcast and one of the progressive forces behind the global underground music scene, converging avant-garde, pop, and non-dominant culture. Georgian-born, Prague-based DJ, Arnii, booker and promoter, curator of the Fuchs2 programme, and other half of Onyx Rave; Bass music prodigy, label head, promoter, DJ, and activist Darwin, who runs REEF parties at Berghain and nurtures emerging talents on her SPE:C label; the founder of Clean Scene, a climate action collective that wants to explore a more sustainable future for dance music; iconic Venezuelan producer DJ Babatr, one of the inventors of Raptor House, a genre influenced by Detroit Techno, early 90s rave stabs, and Electro as much as by Latin-American dembow rhythms, who has been a major inspiration for artists such as Arca and Cardopusher, who experienced some of their first raves at Baba's parties in the outskirts of Caracas; Zesknel, renowned for his distinct musical perspective, and Masho Goez, an emerging DJ mixing Drum & Bass, Electro, and Dubstep. The forefronts of the Tbilisi electronic music scene—Kancheli, Gio Shengelia, HVL, and Kvanchi—will perform at Horoom.
