Wrecked celebrates 4/20 in a haze of collaborative bliss: BASEMENT sees the party’s two honchos, Ron Like Hell and Ryan Smith, going b2b all night. Their shared vision, years of experience, camaraderie and insider knowledge of each others’ USBs will make this essential listening. Wrecked was started thirteen years ago as a “music first” queer party - at that time, such a concept was anomalous enough to warrant overt mention - and Ron & Ryan have admirably set the standard.
Atlanta-based Leonce is a real one. The Club Morph co-founder takes a righteously severe approach to his tracks, with a no-filler rawness that marries defiance and sensuality. He makes his debut at the club in STUDIO alongside Keenan Orr and Kilopatrah Jones. Orr has been making waves from his hometown in Washington DC for over twenty years, holding it down in the city’s quietly thriving underground while also stepping out for international appearances. As the co-creator of Sleaze, his focus on rolling, leftfield disco gives a sumptuous warmth to his sets. His outstanding mixing brings a seamless sheen and a true storytelling quality to his sets. Kilopatrah Jones has become a regular face in the club, and with good reason. Her soulful, infectious energy brings a fresh glow to classic house.
