Let's talk about being old. Yes, Filippo and I are old. Old enough to know better, maybe. Well, on this night old records will be played. And we are old enough to have bought a lot of those records when they came out. We are also so old that we remember how they were played then, by many mighty fine DJs, and we played them ourselves too, many times. And our experience might be a plus, as we may be old but we still know how to keep a floor locked for the 8+ hours you are expected to do that at Paloma and we still have the passion and stamina to pull that through. Even if we take longer to recover from that than we used to. But hey younger ones, one day you will go through that too, as much as we went through most of what you are going through now. And we feel as if we are just not done yet.
But Power Disco is actually not about anything mentioned above. We welcome you, as long as you are willing to share a good time on a floor celebrating as one, loving and dancing. And we hope that you welcome us too. After all it is your floor, and without you we are nothing.
And even if we decided to lay a focus on the electronic side of Disco for this edition of our beloved residency, we wonder if it really matters. Every single record we play matters a lot to us and you will notice that. Because we are hopelessly romantic about nights like this, and we won't let go until anybody feels the same.
