Get hyped for an epic night with this stellar lineup! On Friday, April 19th, NYC favorites Veronica Vasicka, Sepehr, and Amelia Holt will be rocking the Good Room. Plus Effervescence in the Bad Room with Jek, adobeprincess, and Downloadable Content, it's going to be a party you won't want to miss!
Veronica Vasicka, a NYC native, is a multifaceted artist known for her roles as a photographer, musician, DJ, and the founder of the renowned record label and online music resource, Minimal Wave. As one of the pioneers behind East Village Radio, she curated obscure and forgotten gems spanning Cold Wave, Post-Punk, Industrial, and Synth-pop genres. Faced with the challenge of classifying these unique sounds, Vasicka coined the term "Minimal Wave" and established minimalwave.com as a platform to share her discoveries globally.
Joining Veronika is Sepehr, a Bay Area native, disrupts dance music norms with his unique sound. His debut LP "Shaytoon" was released through Dark Entries records in 2020. As a DJ, he blends off-kilter house, psychedelic techno, electro, acid, and jakbeat. Transitioning to live PA sets in 2017, Sepehr showcases diverse compositions. He also heads Shaytoon Records, focusing on Middle Eastern underground electronic music.
Amelia Holt is best known for her shapeshifting sets, weaving through genres and tempos creating a narrative flow uniquely her own. She currently holds down a residency at Public Records and runs an eponymous monthly music newsletter, In Your Dirty Ears, highlighting her favorite new electronic releases and more, with Yumi and S. Casella.
Plus Effervescence will be taking over the Bad Room with Jek, adobeprincess, and Downloadable Content.
