This month, Made to Move invites two out of town acts with midwest roots, who are not only DJs but artists in their own right: JENNGREEN and Endash.
Seattle selector with roots in Detroit, JENNGREEN joins us after two highly-enjoyed mixes on Lot Radio and Humano Sound. She paints a musical mosaic traversing ambient, drum & bass, techno, house, other electronic rhythms and dub undertones including tracks from LA producers Alley Gorgon, Dance Maniacs, and our very own Akumen. Despite the wide array of genres, her sets make total sense as a holistic work. She also has an ambient-based alias ‘Earthbeam’, organizes a club party called “Atmosphérique” at Kremwerk, and has spent many hours on-air. Building beautiful things out of disparate pieces is baked into her artistic DNA.
Endash, who is based in Detroit, wears many hats. In addition to being a DJ, musician, writer, and interdisciplinary organizer, Endash is also a visual artist. They are the founder of Moods, a community of nightlife workers, techno fans, and artists that platforms music outside of techno to explore the genre's roots and origins and understand how music migrates from one geography and generation to another. Along with their own tracks, expect to hear selections from across the house and techno spectrum.
