Just before we announce a very exciting summer of events in a NEW location (news coming soon!), we are so happy to announce a one-off special Cosmic Pineapple event at Akasha / Las Dalias, with an extremely rare Ibiza appearance from a very, very special guest - a true pioneer of the electronic music movement and a master of making us let go into the dance - Laurent Garnier.
Laurent Garnier is an artist who really knows the spirit of music and the magic of the musical journey on the dancefloor. With over 30 years of experience and a master of the art of musical tension and release, he weaves through different music styles, energies and emotions; holding and guiding the dancefloor chaos in a way like no other. This will be an event not to forget!
In 2023, Garnier celebrated the release of his album ‘33 Tours Et Puis S’en Vont’ - his ninth studio album and first album in eight years “I'm not a nostalgic person, and yet, I can't help but draw comparisons between this new album and my very first album, 'Shot In The Dark', except that this time around, I have a much better idea of the direction I’m heading in.”
Not one to sit still, he has also composed music for films, co-produced his own documentary ’Off The Record’, written an autobiography ‘Electrochoc’ and, sharing also his musical eclecticism, he created PBB “Pedro's Broadcasting Basement” in 2003, his own non-stop 24 hours radio channel online, plus his own Soundcloud radio mixes [DEEP]Search.
This is a one off special event and a rare island appearance from Laurent Garnier! The intimate space at one of the island’s most historic venues - Akasha and Las Dalias - is the perfect setting to hold the energy he brings. The soundsystem of Akasha is powered by custom built speakers and subwoofers that transmit unique emotions through vibrations, giving an exceptionally clear, free of distortion, and simultaneously powerful sound without causing disruption.
This will be only Garnier’s second DJ set in Ibiza in over 10 years - the last time being for Carl Cox’s birthday at DC10 in 2022. It’s a true honour for us as he is selecting only very few shows to play around the world.
Cosmic Pineapple, entering its ninth year on the island, is a unique event setting a new tone for events in Ibiza, celebrating the electronic music movement and all the magic on the dancefloor - and the unified force it generates - exploring creativity in all forms and honouring the art of healing and esoteric wisdom, whilst raising funds and good energy for worldwide charities whilst we do it (we have raised over 60,000 euros for different charities around the world). We held a residency at Pikes, Ibiza for eight seasons and last year held a one-off event at Las Dalias / Akasha - you can see a mini after movie here. This year Cosmic has a very special residency to announce in a brand new venue - news coming soon, but this is the perfect way to launch a magic season!
DJs sharing their sounds on May 5th include island residents Chabeli (Amazonas Music Lab), Lex Wolf, Sadeedo and Xx Isis xX - and Mirko Loko, DJ, producer and artistic director of Swiss mountain-top festival, Polaris, also makes a welcome appearance. Plus we will have the magic of BayBJane weaving around, Live Art, a mini healing area and as always cosmic surprises.
This event will be in support of Earth Percent - Earth Percent is a charity providing a simple way for the music industry to support the most impactful organisations addressing the climate emergency.
