There are many superlatives to try and describe what Domenic Cappello is as a DJ, but none of them do him any justice. Having been at the helm of dance music in Glasgow for the past 30 years providing thousands of dancers & DJs to moments of pure energy & ecstacy from the DJ booth at Subculture. As well as running the buy on sight record label, 7th Sign Recordings for a number of years with some of the most well respected producers in house & techno and most recently releasing his first full album, Basement Philosophy, on the excellent Alien Communications imprint to critical acclaim. The album gives listeners the opportunity to hear and feel what a snapshot of seeing him play may be like in a dark sweaty basement filled with energy & raucous party goers. And despite being in electronic music before most of the dancers he plays to were born, he shows no sign of slowing down or fading away into obscurity. That raw rocking sound inspired by Detroit still captivates audiences and continues to forge a path forward.
