Hydrash—an extreme sensation of dizziness and overwhelming euphoria—a queer party and collective driving through the profound journey of self-exploration and emancipation from the shackles of sexual, cultural, and social dogmas—beckons queer individuals and allies to the dancefloor to embrace undiscovered worlds, unfamiliar experiences, and uncharted territories.
The concept will be fully aligned with and addressing the current events in the country, including the anti-LGBT stance and the initiation of Russian law, the repeal of gender quotas, the derogatory campaign against women, and the offensive messages of sexist and homophobic violence. These issues represent a direct and aggressive attack on women and queer individuals who already face systemic oppression and institutionalised pressure from political and religious establishments due to patriarchal hierarchies and cultural norms. Now as ever, unity and solidarity in the fight against malevolence are essential.
On May 5, Hydrash teams up with German-Ghanaian queer artist Natalie Robinson, emerging as one of the breakthrough DJs of house music. Raised in a multicultural household, Robinson's upbringing instilled in her a deep connection to gospel, funk, soul, R&B, and traditional Ghanaian music, shaping her distinctive aesthetic and dynamic DJing style. Hamatsuki, a versatile and forward-thinking producer, a master at mixing nostalgic rave essence with a state of melancholy, and Bekuchi, the visionary behind Tbilisi's SATZ record label and a keen record collector, renowned for his innate knack for selection.
Hydrash prioritizes LGBTQIA+ and FLINTA* community members, for whom admission is free. Invitations are available to registered and verified members of the #communal platform.
