- La Rumba Buena is a monthly-event dedicated to vintage Latin sounds on vinyl. Inspired by the salsatecas in Cali (Colombia), Havana, and New York, Rumba is a no frills, pure vibes, non-stop dance floor jam. Expect to hear old-school salsa, boogaloo, & cumbia. We just got back from killing it at Dante's HiFi in Miami and we're bringing some of that Miami heat back for you. We've been selling out at Sounds Good for months now, and tickets for this Rumba should go quickly too. Expect to be transported out of Toronto for a night (in the best way), and escape with us for the long weekend. Over Rumba's 8-plus years we've welcomed international guests such as Quantic, Bobbito, Rich Medina, DJ Bongohead, and DJ Amir (Kon and Amir), Rum & Coke Miami, Mickey Perez, Suce, Jason Joshua and Citlalic La Colocha, to name a few. We have also had a chance to host some of our favourite Toronto DJs, such as Jason Palma, DJ Grouch, Aki, and Juana Go-Go. Alongside our home base in Toronto, La Rumba Buena has blessed the decks at storied venues and parties such as Dante's HiFi in Miami (as mentioned above), La Fábrica de Arte Cubano in Havana, Cuba, and Noche Negra in Mexico City, among others.
