- Rotterdam’s Reclaim Your City has been an active presence in their hometown for nearly a decade, producing events with consistently outstanding lineups which draw from harder, stranger corners. And on May 10, they take over BASEMENT. Sterac headlines. The alias belongs to multifaceted artist Steve Rachmad, one of Amsterdam’s all-time finest, and is focused squarely on techno’s deeper and darker iterations. Sterac sets his sights for the heart of the black hole, navigating through shifting terrain with steely focus. Releases on M-Plant, Klockworks and many more iconic labels stand as a testament to the timeless power of his works. His compatriot Kr!z joins. As one of the main movers behind Token Records, it’s no surprise that Kr!z’s productions sizzle with HD spaciousness and a gnarly, venomous drive. His recent “Marbles” EP channels iconic hardware bleep techno in a sci-fi vein, but does so with the utmost precision and personal vision. Lychee keeps the freak energy rolling. NY’s multifaceted community mainstay has an impressive versatility, but they keep one thing consistent: every set goes all-in on strange, unique and impactful sonics. Detroit house veteran Rick Wade steps up for his first ever set at STUDIO. He’s an unimpeachable presence in his hometown, helping to craft the essential Motor City take on house. Breathy vocal flips, liquid bass lines and that classic Detroit thump - Wade helped write the book. In addition to his mountainous solo discography, Wade has remained steadfast as the boss behind his Harmonies Park label. A living legend and an institution unto himself, Rick Wade will bring a timeless essence to STUDIO. Haruka returns. The NYC artist taps into a thick, left field sound that bubbles over with imaginative strangeness. Cosmo is back as well, matching Wade’s soulful tint with a new school interpolation.
