- Join us on Sunday 19th May at Avalon Cafe for *NEW CO-OPS, NEW FACES*, a community-run event for those who want to learn more about housing co-ops: what they are, how they run, and how to set up your own. This is a collaborative event hosted by CASH (Community Assets for Society and Housing) and Sanford Housing Co-op, and is a fundraising event for CASH. 2pm - Arrive, sign up to workshops 3-5pm : Workshops, facilitated by members of local co-ops 6-8pm: Homecooked food, co-op chats, zine making + film screenings 7pm-11pm: Afterparty with local DJ's Workshops will cover topics such as: How do you form a co-op? Who is in your co-op? How do you finance a co-op? How do you build a co-op? Creative activities and a zine making will be running after workshops, along with a hearty homemade dinner made by our very own Sanford chefs, Marieke and Amal. You'll be welcome to come and go as you please throughout the day, but we ask that you arrive for 2pm if you'd like to participate in any workshops. DJ's on the night include: Queen Kong & more of your favourite co-op DJ's Tickets are pay as you feel (£0-20, with a suggested donation of £10), all profits will go to CASH. We look forward to sharing knowledge and celebrating co-ops with you! Tickets can also be bought through our Eventbrite page or on the door. - This is a rescheduled event, if you bought tickets to the original event (Saturday 3rd Feburary at Matchstick Piehouse) your tickets will be valid. Just show the previous ticket at the door.
