- CROSSTALK is a new monthly live music/jam night for musicians, by musicians. We’re bringing you a night of Soul, Jazz and Hip Hop to the Carpet Shop Peckham - South-East London’s most exciting emerging venue. The night will feature 3 live performances from the likes of ‘No Trixx,’ ‘NIA’ and ‘Saidouthakidd’ + DJ sets, and an open jam hosted by our house band. Instrumentalists, singers, rappers - this jam is for YOU - and is a safe space to test out new material, collaborate and discover new sounds. PLAYING ON THE NIGHT: No Trixx is a Contemporary Jazz/Fusion collective based in East London. They take influence from UK Jazz, Drum n Bass/Jungle, Latin music and funk. They were chosen to play as a Music For Youth Frequencies act at the Royal Albert Hall Youth Proms 2022 following an acoustic session at All Points East. More recently, No Trixx played upstairs and Ronnie Scotts, continuing to to cement their presence in the live music scene. After debuting in 2023 with two solid yet versatile singles, seventeen-year-old rapper from Camden, Saidouthakidd joins forces with the CROSSTALK house band for a special performance displaying both his lyrical ability and perspective beyond his years. NIA is a Birmingham born, London based singer and producer, weaving soulful melodies with journalistic lyricism. NIA fuses jazz, neo-soul, hip-hop and electro influences with a rich, soothing vocal intertwined with elements of spoken word to create a soul-stirring live experience.
