For the 21st Nurture X Liminal Dreams, we’re excited to introduce a mix of new and returning faces, along with a celebration or two.
First and foremost, and building further on our longstanding Japan-to-Vietnam connection, we are happy to have Leo on board for the April edition. Loe, the artist name of Nagano-born, Osaka-based Yayoi Kusama, she has been an acclaimed selector for close to two decades in the Kansai region. In 2022, with Muzan’s head honcho, Liminal Dreams aficionado Endurance, and AOKI takamasa, she launched the all-day ambient party SLOWMOTION to great success. As a sound storyteller and an equal daytime ambient lover, we are happy to have Leo join us for a sunset session in Saigon.
The Observatory resident and fellow Japanese DJ Shhhhh will join her. At this point, most, if not all, in Saigon are familiar with his genre-bending sets that flow and fly seemingly. His reputation precedes him, so we’ll save the introductions.
Likewise, our final guest, Dan Lo, a stable of the Observatory and the Apollo of Saigon, negating the need for further details. Possibly, we only need to mention that he will be celebrating his belated birthday in this edition.
Joining this lovely group will be your usual hosts, Toss and Youss, the first of whom is also in a birthday capacity. Come around, eat a cake, experience some big room birthday ambient, and have a glass or two with us. See you for another Sunday Funday.
