Over the last decade, Tokyo-based DJ Haruka has emerged as a leading figure in Japan’s dance music scene. Haruka’s reputation within Japan has led to success overseas as well, with regular bookings across Asia, Oceania, North and South America, and sets at European staples. In addition to providing mixes to various music media outlets to showcase his sophisticated techno selection, Haruka also launched a label, Protection, to explore the margins between the dance floor and contemporary music.
東京を拠点として活動するHarukaは、フェスティバルから地⽅ツアーまで多くの現場を経験する中でその技術を磨いてきた。近年は海外での活動も積極的に⾏い、アジア、ヨーロッパ、アメリカ等、重要なダンスミュージックカルチャーが存在する国と地域で多くのツアーを敢⾏。これまでいくつかのポッドキャストに提供されたミックスからは洗練されたテクノのセレクションを、また主宰するレーベルProtectionからリリースされているDJツールとコンテンポラリーミュージックの境界と⾔える作品群からは、⾳楽センスの幅の広さを垣間⾒ることができる。
