- Zonzo (Glove Party) ALL NIGHT LONG
On Saturday the 1st of June Malo Disco Club returns to Mint Bar for an evening with Glove Party co-founder and Barcelona's king of disco, Zonzo.
Daniele a.k.a Zonzo needs little introduction to the Barcelona clubbing community. His collective, Glove Party was founded in 2014 and has since become one of the city's biggest and best-loved club brands. In 2018 Glove Records opened as "a unique underground shop that shares music on vinyl for dreamers (like themselves)" further highlighting Daniele and his partner in disco, Josep Xortó as dedicated contributors to Barcelona's vibrant music scene. Over the past decade Glove Party has flowered into the unique, celebration of expression (and disco) that we love today, taking their unique atmosphere to iconic venues such as La Paloma and Paral•lel 62, club favourites like Razzmatazz, La Terrrazza, Sala Upload and the late great This Side Up, Repeat in Berlin, a collaboration with Brunch Electronik and even their own festival in Mallorca.
As you would expect from the co-founder of such a collective and the proprietor of a record shop, Zonzo's selection is guaranteed. You're as insured against bad music as Daniele is against Shazam and so we couldn't be more excited to go on a 4.5hr journey into his unique collection, uninterrupted from open til' close. Zonzo has been booked all over Europe to take his unique selection to parties and festivals such as Intergalactic FM Festival in The Netherlands and Glastonbury in the UK, the list of artists that he's worked with includes legends like Pino D'Angio so it should be no surprise that Daniele is a battle-hardened party starter. We can't think of anyone better to take the reigns of Malo Disco for an epic all night long.
