Naïve is stepping out again after popping it’s cherry at a packed to capacity Stereo where The Magician and Louis La Roche conjured up a delicious disco dream. There are some ridiculously big things planned for later in November at the Art School, but waiting such a long time was only going to lead to frustration. So whether you call it youthful impatience or just not knowing any better, Näive is now going mid-week with a big, fat mouthful of dirty electro courtesy of Chewy Chocolate Cookies!
There’ll be no more cries of innocence from Naïve as it well and truly gets broken in by Glasgow’s most experienced of musical venues the SUB CLUB. That sound-system and Chewy Chocolate Cookies; a filthy combination! Chewy Chocolate Cookies doesn’t know anything other than dance-floor bangers, making a name with scorchingly hot remixes of acts like Major Lazer, the Bloody Beetroots and Swedish House Mafia as well as original tracks such as Apocalypse, Thunder and It Was Only a Kiss. All of those productions have such a fierce, maximal sound that they’ll make for a perfect recipe on the night. There’s no doubt that everyone will be getting a face-full of sickly, sweet noise cum the end of the month.
The official biography for Chewy Chocolate Cookies is quite literally a list of ingredients (1 1/4 cups butter or margarine, softened – 2 cups granulated sugar – 2 large egg etc.), so Naïve will be preparing accordingly. Preheating the Sub Club oven will be Vianassa, who returns to Glasgow after a hectic summer that saw him in demand the length and breadth of the country, rubbing shoulders with the big boys at both Rockness and Creamfields! He’ll be offering an especially sweet disco serving for Naïve that ought to get the taste-buds tingling for his next Synth adventure.
Whetting the appetite further will be Mausr; another boy with his hands full these days. In fact, the Sub Club is beginning to feel very familiar to him, so expect some good, old fashioned electronic homecooking to get you licking your lips. If you aren’t salivating by then, Näive resident PEACE will get you wet with anticipation for the headline set from Chewy Chocolate Cookies. PEACE didn’t look at all out of place alongside Louis La Roche and the Magician last month and his sharp blend of intergalactic electro will be the perfect appetiser before Näive’s main course.
