  • It’s been almost a year since we entered the murky waters of London nightlife and – first and foremost – we would like to thank all of you who have come down and allowed yourselves to be subjected to our records/whims. It’s been a blast. So as we near the end of the year we’ve arranged something a bit special in the form of our very first Secret Danger guests: Allez-Allez.* Allez-Allez - AKA Sam Willis and Steve Nolan – have been bridging the gap between the weird, the wonderful and the danceable for nearly half a decade. As promoters they are responsible for bringing some of the best international talent to the capital, building up strong relationships with the likes of Optimo, Border Community, and Kompakt. As DJs they have informed the ‘Secret Danger Musical Manifesto’ (NB: Not an actual tangible item) since year zero, blending krautrock, house, disco, minimal, industrial and techno with little respect for precedent or comformity. As producers they have released original productions on NYC’s RVNG Intl, as well as lending their remixing talents to Fever Ray, Dan Deacon, Simian Mobile Disco and High Places, amongst others. In 2009 they started their own record label 'Amazing Sounds', in collaboration with noted artist/designer James Joyce and Kompakt Recordings. The inaugural release saw the hallowed ground of Harmonia & Brian Eno's 'Tracks & Traces' retrodden by master-beat-investigators Shackleton and Appleblim, and future releases include music from the likes of Dan Deacon, Hudson Mohawke, The Field and Luke Abbott. Sam is also one half of WALLS, whose debut LP was released on Kompakt earlier this year. Their blog / podcast series - located at www.allez-allez.co.uk - features exclusive weekly mixes from Allez-Allez, plus carefully selected guest mixes from the likes of Danny Krivit, Hot Chip, Prins Thomas, Gavin Russom, Four Tet, Andrew Weatherall, Lindstrom, Optimo, Ewan Pearson and Joakim amongst many others. Sam and Steve will be supported by us, the Secret Danger residents, and we have secured a late licence especially for the occasion, allowing us (and the bar) to go on until 4am. As ever, a discerning dancefloor for discerning people. *Technically the first Secret Danger guest was our good Scottish friend Urlaubshits but unfortunately he's now too expensive since releasing ONE remix on THISISNOTANEXIT. His agent called us a "pair of ninnies" and told us where to stick it.
