Eric Estornel is a digital Rubik's Cube of technological advancement and achievement. His endeavors in the pursuit of pushing the boundaries of electronic music beyond this existence have proven that not a single name nor definition of audio excellence can contain his vision. From talented DJ to exalted producer, Eric has embraced and subsequently changed the perspectives of sound by building bridges across genres and constantly redefining what house music is. Maetrik, Maceo Plex, Mariel Ito and Plaex are a few of the pseudonyms Eric takes in telling his tales of aural exploration on labels such as Treibstoff, Dumb Unit, Cocoon, Audiomatique, Iron Box Music, Modern Love and Mothership. In the first part of 2011, Damian Lazarus' Crosstown Rebels label will exclusively release the first in a string of albums from forward thinking artists, beginning with a 12 track gem from Maceo Plex entitled "Life Index". The culmination of a career spanning over a decade, "Life Index" explores the sleek versatility Eric possesses among his many auditory shells. Eric has shared his brand of sinister house on such notable floors around the globe as Rex, Womb, Fabric and Cocoon to name a few. But this January, Dallas will play host to the man of multiple monikers in an epic evening that only the Sounds Like crew could properly bring you.
