Hailing from a small university town, Lüneburg not far from Hamburg; Session Victim have cemented their name in house music circles in the past years. Reining in a fresh perspective on how to make a dance floor move.
The duo; Hauke Freer & Matthias Reiling became close friends in the early 90’s as teens, blowing off school, organising parties with a small crew of friends, and spending hours in their hometown’s sole record store. Given that both were active first as DJs and then as producers, it’s surprising that Session Victim formed as late as it did.
Their first release “No Friends” dropped in 2008 with a serious BANG! I know that i had it on repeat for at least a week… It was all the elements of a classic house tune, with a current day twist. This was followed up by “Out on love ep”, once again a catchy dance floor tune to get the feet moving. Quoting the press release for the first track of the ep (“Memory Lane”)
