With a reputation as a remixer du jour he has worked with the likes of Bloc Party and HEALTH, and draws comparisons to contemporary Four Tet. Gold Panda's debut album, Lucky Shiner is a rapturous sonic collection incorporating multitudes of styles and influences to create a glitchy electronic sound with pop tendencies. He creates his sound by layering obscure samples, glittering melodies and deconstructed hip-hop beats with soothing oriental textures.
Recently hand picked to be the only Australian artist signed to seminal US label Stones Throw, Djanimals' experimental beat driven pop and atmospheric electronica has garnered attention from the likes of Mark Ronson, Santigold and Albert Hammond Junior.
