On the eve of Kate and Will’s holy union, LSS have got the perfect excuse to spend the Royal Wedding nursing a hangover after a badboy night at Hifi. As we creep ever closer to the summer we’re pleased to present yet another LSS first: all 3 members of THE MISTAMEN making their DJing debut. Tropical and LSS favourite Mella Dee is joined by his Doncaster compadres in the shape of Kid Kosy and Woozee. After a superb release on the Greenmoney label, 2011 is shaping up to be an important year for the trio.
Also making waves on the Bass music landscape is Leeds based producer KIDNAP KID. Originally hailing from Sheffield, this young bright spark made us sit up and take notice after he passed us some excellent new cuts a couple of months ago. Since then he’s secured his first release ‘No One Else’ forthcoming on Squelch & Clap and is certain to be another one to keep a close eye on.
Completing this fresh and exciting line-up is a man that embodies both of those qualities with his excellent sets and superb ‘Tropical’ event -JANGLE. Co running the night with fellow DJs Jera & Mella Dee; Jangle has always been well up on current happenings from local to global parts of the scene. An assured exhibition of Jangle’s many styles is sure to fire things up. His new collaboration with Kredible is a fresh nod at the Dubstep genre all the acts have been influenced by. Grab it here:
