  • Roosevelt 54 Presents PATRICK HAGENAAR (Hagenaar & Albrecht) Ministry Of Sound | Warner | Hed Kandi | UK http://www.patrickhagenaar.com/ http://www.hagenaar-albrecht.com/ http://beatport.com/artists/patrick_hagenaar http://beatport.com/artists/hagenaar_&_albrecht http://soundcloud.com/patrickhagenaar http://soundcloud.com/hagenaar-albrecht "With DJ gigs across the globe , a weekly worldwide radio show and DJ's such as David Guetta, Axwell & Erick Morillo using his tracks and remixes as their floor destroyers, alongside chart topping productions released with major labels around the world, Patrick Hagenaar is a fast rising Dutch star that can’t seem to do wrong!" Back in 1999, Patrick moved to London to start off his DJ career instantly grabbing both promoters and clubbers' attention by rocking the London club scene with his uplifting house sound at venues including Ministry of Sound, Turnmills, The Cross, and holding residencies at Pacha, The Egg and Heaven. Since then, Patrick has won the 'Upcoming DJ Award' in his home country ('02), was chosen by Holland’s biggest dance magazine (BG) as 'Rookie of the month' ('03), 'Star DJ of the Month' ('05) by Pioneer and Runner-up at Hed Kandi's Resident DJ competition ('05).In 2006, Ministry of Sound selected Patrick to become one of their main resident tour DJ's taking him to every corner of the globe throughout Europe, Asia, China, Africa and the Americas. In September 2007, UK Mobile operator O2 approached Patrick to participate in a project that no DJ in the world has ever attempted before and on the 22nd December mixed a live dj-set on two mobile phones @ The Ministry of Sound, which you can see the results of on youtube. Early 2008, Alistair Albrecht invited Patrick to play at Pacha (London), resulting in a monthly residency and a long-term partnership between the two as 'Hagenaar & Albrecht'. The duo went onto produced one of the biggest tracks that year with ‘What Would we Do’, becoming the No.1 House track across every major DJ download site. Patrick's debut release 'Criminal' feat Cozi Costi (of 'Baby When The Lights Go Out' fame) also made a heavy impact - getting released across 10 countries and picked up by labels such as Universal (France). Later that year, his track 'Wak Ass' with Peo Haggstrom, was selected by DJ Mag as their 'Dancefloor Destroyer of the Month' and was both remixed and released by the Shapeshifters. 2009 brought a wealth of solo productions, high profile remixes and H&A's follow up track ‘In & Out’, again topping the download charts receiving rave reviews and DJ support from David Guetta to Armin van Buuren. With three H&A tracks in the top 10 and Patrick's 'In Da Ass' hitting the Top 5 in the Dutch Dance chart - booking requests continued flooding in from across the world. Patrick started 2010 with two remixes for H&A, the duo had caught the eye of Atlantic Records US and were commisioned to remix six-time Grammy award winner ‘Toni Braxton’ and hot newcomer ‘Wynter Gordon’. Wynter's 'Dirty Talk' topped both the US Billboard Dance Chart and Australia's Aria chart. This new relationship paved the way for the H&A with a follow up production ‘Won’t Let You Down’, which was chosen by UK's most influential pop blog 'Pop Justice' as their 'Track of the Day' and got bootlegged by no other than Axwell! With new remixes forthcoming in the summer of 2011, this big hitting 80’s classic re-work is already causing a stir on promo and will give the duo their 1st major release across the Atlantic. Patrick's solo releases also went from strength to strength with 'Part Of Me' getting picked up by No1 prog label 'Wormland Music', named 'Download of the week' by Roger Sanchez on his radio show and is about to feature on Ministry of Sound's (DE) biggest dance compilation of the year! 2011 so far has had H&A already remix Ke$ha's US/UK No1 record 'We R Who We R' and several high profile remixes for Ministry of Sound and Hed Kandi - setting the boys up for even bigger things to come.'We Feel the Same', which Patrick originally released through Michael Woods' label 'Diffused' in 2009, is stirring up some major buzz - peaking at No3 in the UK Club Chart and Top 10 in DMC Buzz chart - set for re-release later this year on Global productions. With new releases forthcoming on the world’s hottest dance labels, his production partnership ‘Hagenaar & Albrecht’ signing a 3 track album deal with Warner Music UK/ Atlantic US and getting inundated with remix requests, alongside worldwide gigs and a monthly worldwide radio show, 2010 is set to propel the Dutchman to a major player in the dance industry!
