Transition with Miles Sagnia & The Third Man

  • Following on from our comeback in April, Transition gets set for a second round of hi tech tomfoolery and a fine slice of D-town inspired machine funk from two of the baddest up and coming technoid mothers this side of the UK; both of whom have seen releases on Kirk Degiorio's righteous Applied Rhythmic Technology imprint. Miles Sagnia's breed of deep house is undeniably ethereal, although he's never content on one style. While house is his grounding, Mile's releases on A.R.T, Keith Worthy's Aesthetic Audio, and his very own Atmospheric Existence Recordings, has seen him go on to flirt with pacey electro and plenty of acid. Furthermore there are clear influences of jazz and world styles, which can be heard throughout his, thus far, brief, but solid discography. Miles's widespread influences will no doubt shine through during his two hour takeover behind the platters. When we first brought The Third Man in to perform live last June, we were left awestruck, and knew we had to drag him down again to pack some more sonic punches. While he chooses to remain elusive, The Third Man's debut on A.I. Recordings is something of a masterpiece amongst those in the know – melancholy, acid, soul and breaks; it has it all. Since then he's moved towards the moodier, heads down approach with a couple of outings on the aforementioned A.R.T, and the newly born Scottish-club-night-cum-label, Tabernacle Recordings. What's more, he's also been busy crafting a new live show, which we're stoked about. Setting the tone for the nights proceedings will be yours truly; delving into the usual brand of anything and everything that's ridden with groove and depth. We will once again be holding fort in the upper confines of the CAMP, and, as ever, the fine array of musical wonderments won't cost you a dime, as it's free entry all night long. That's right, nadda! Make your transition.
