Holy Shit! Scatterblog, Australia’s most fêted electronic music blog is turning five. And they’re celebrating the only way they know how – by launching a brand new website and throwing themselves a massive party.
Over the past five years Scatterblog has grown from a personal blog into one of the most internationally respected and widely consulted resources for the latest developments in electronic music. Sitting at the vanguard of contemporary electronic music practice, Scatterblog has subsequently morphed into an international presenting partner (NASA, Shit Robot, Nadastrom, DJ Sega) and most recently, a record label – Scattermusic – aimed at unearthing the freshest new club music from Australia and around the world.
To keep with up Scatterblog and Scattermusic’s continued growth, the boys are unveiling a new-look website (www.scatterblog.com) that will encompass an online store, a music forum and regular contributions by some of the biggest names the genre has to offer including; Deacon Rose; Sampology; Tranter; Lewis CanCut; Scattermish; and Mat Cant.
In honour of this latest achievement and to celebrate exactly what this collective is all about (great electronic music) they’re putting on an enormous party to showcase all the talent the label has to offer. Expect a night of big drums, hype drops, grinding rhythms, questionable stage antics, impractical props, and bizarre costumes from Lucid; Scattermusic Soundsystem; Bosstone; Congo Tardis #1; The Cumbia Cosmonauts and 1 Fish Two Fish.
