On July 30th, Hollywood will swing with the funk like it hasn't done since it's glory days. Making his first time appearance in Tinsel Town and at King King is the one and only Jonn Hawley (Soul Fuel Recordings | Large Music | Golden State Recordings). If you've seen Jonn in the past in such places as Chicago (where he gigs regularly), Miami (WMC where he absolutely murdered it at the Large Music party), or NY among other cities, you know that he can not only swing but also really rock that dance floor.
Supporting Jonn will be label boss of Golden State Recordings Joshua Heath (Golden State Recordings, Lost My Dog, Salted Music). Josh has been ripping up lately with the quality of releases coming from him and his artist on GSR. He also knows a thing or two on how to make a crowd move.
Closing the night will be Torin Rea and Ricardo Torres of The West Coast Collective (Soul Fuel Recordings, Kinjo, Melon Dive Recordings). These local LA boys have been getting some traction lately with the multiple releases that Torin has been putting out and supported by some of the biggest jocks of the industry. Also, the WCC Radio show is one of the most popular podcast on SS Radio UK and is downloaded thousands of time twice month from people all over the world.
As a bonus the amazing and talented Louis Hale of Los Angeles will be dropping some live rhymes over the boy's beats. Louis has had a release with Josh Heath on Golden State and he also has one coming out with Torin on Soulfuel Recordings this summer. It only seemed appropriate that we asked this incredible spoken word artist (and dancer) to join us in our celebration.
