Vertikal Drop residents Fraser McMartin & Andy Lyon are proud to bring you what promises to be an absolute belter of an opening night with Guest DJ's JAN CREE & CRAIG MURPHY!
Jan Cree:
Producer/Dj Jan Cree is renowned for his intense DJ set’s. His dynamic mix of dark and slick minimal/Techno grooves brings his crowds to the Euphoria they come for!
On the production side, Jan has been tirelessly working with a string of strong, successful releases on some of the world’s hottest new labels including NAKED LUNCH, PISO RECORDS, BULLETDODGE RECORDS, TRONIC B7, STEREOFLY RECORDINGS, PLASMAPOOL, SUICIDE ROBOT. HAMBURG AUFNAHMEN and most recently XTC records. This has culminated in Jan being recognised and snapped up by some of the largest underground club nights in the UK.
Jan’s first release in 2009 “ELEVATOR” through the label PLASMAPOOL charted at No2 and moved to the No1 slot the very next week.
Jan’s abilities in the studio are endless. He has churned out some immaculate material that has slotted into a cross section of different DJs. The labels he now works with are of the most forward-thinking and exciting labels in Europe, with top flight acts eagerly waiting for news of new releases and remix work.
Many of his recent releases have been championed by some major players on the scene like Orlando Voorn who at present is on the verge of his release of his remix of Jans new track, TAP TU which ties in nicely with our launch night!
We cant wait to see what the big man brings!
Resident Andy Lyon:
Andy has over 15 years experience djing for local bars and pubs as well as being a successful and popular party DJ. Starting off as everyone does living the dream in the bedroom, he began his vinyl collection with hardcore then moved on to trance and funky house.
From pubs to partys Andy's music taste and collection has grown massively widespread but has devoted himself to techno and tech house after guest appearances at Blink (Club 69) and Hummingbird (Glasgow) and Shakedown (Courtyard) Currently Andy is Co-promoter of one of Glasgow's finest nights Maneuver, and we could not think of a better candidate to have on board to help promote Vertikal Drop as another one of Glasgow's Finest Techno nights.
With his vast wealth of experience, skills and musical style. He's the life and soul of any party and certainly knows how to get the crowds lifted to euphoric levels with his obsession for original sounds, deep bass and banging beats!
Resident Fraser Mcmartin:
Fraser's profile within the Glasgow dance scene is starting to really take off.... and teaming up with Andy Lyon from Manuever, well.... he could be doing a lot worse..... Fraser's progressive style of deep, grimey Techno has been inspired from the likes of Magda, Adam Beyer & Alan Fitzpatrick, Coming from early beginings with HyperPhylo and Elevator, Fraser is looking forward to showing off what he's all about!
