  • Tabernacle Records was born in 2010 and is a vinyl-only record label committed to releasing serious electronic music, most notably techno, house and electro. With 5 releases to date and a new base in London, we now feel it is time to start putting on events that showcase many of the artists who have featured on the label. LIVE Our headliners are fanatical about the music and militant about the machines they use to make it. This helps to distinguish them from most on the scene, where sadly it appears the trend is to downsize and simplify. Xenogears (Marieu & Lucretio) are a Berlin-based collective who have been steadily releasing retro house and techno records on their ever-growing number of labels. Performing live with no laptop in sight, they make straight up jams packed with groove and soul. We were fortunate enough to witness them on an all-star Saturday Panorama Bar line-up earlier this year, so can assure you of how much talent and passion these guys have. The Third Man contributed to our first E.P. on Tabernacle Records and like John Heckle, he played regularly at our Slabs of the Tabernacle parties. More recently, he has been released on Kirk Degiorgio's cult techno label, Applied Rhythmic Technology, and has built a live set that is both energetic and absorbing. DJ John Heckle has released a number of innovative 12s and a recent critically acclaimed LP on Jamal Moss's Mathematics Recordings. An undeniable talent, and still only 22, both John's DJ sets and live performances have been causing a stir of late and for this show he will be adding his 707 to the setup. Joe Hart co-runs the London-based parties World Unknown and Body Hammer. Using unique venues coupled with captivating musical selections, his parties are renowned for that special vibe which is hard to find. Deixis is the mastermind behind the Abstract Forms imprint as well as the more recent and rougher sister Abstract Acid. He is a DJ and producer with a taste for acid house and electro, playing deep and driven sets to match the sound of his labels. Andrew Ingram has been running the Slabs of the Tabernacle parties in Glasgow for almost 4 years. His mixes embrace a wide range of eras and genres, which in essence is what Tabernacle Records is all about.
