Next up at the Wherehouse? we’ve drafted in Berlin based DJ / producer Rene Breitbarth to join us in our new and exciting space! Originally from Cologne, Rene is a familiar face on Berlin’s thriving dance music scene and a regular at Club Der Visionaere where his mammoth Saturday afternoon to Sunday morning sets have become somewhat legendary in the city.
Fusing elements of Deep House and Minimal Techno, Rene’s crystal clear, sample-laden productions are almost exclusively released on his own Deep Data label, on which he is the main artist. With his level of consistency, it comes as no surprise that Deep Data has experienced a level of success that many other digital only labels fail to reach. Rene’s constant string of infectious 4-track solo EPs has added to a lengthy discography that spans over nearly 15 years.
Prior to his Deep Data project, Rene co-owned Treibsoff with Marcel Janovsky on which they began releasing Techno tracks during the late 90s. Now with his focus lying with Deep Data his sound is now notably deeper, although his other label, Shockplay, demonstrates his Minimal Techno roots more clearly.
