PEARSON SOUND
David Kennedy’s work as Pearson Sound & Ramadanman has been a positive scourge on the airwaves this past year. His current deviation from any kind of conventional ‘dubstep’ template hasn’t come as a shock for anyone who’s been following his career from the start - he’s always had a particular slant and a percussively textured style all of his own that’s often
layered with thick and potent bass frequencies and synth washes - but it seems like with recent material like ‘Work Them’ (released on Loefah’s Swamp81 imprint) Kennedy is simply toying with the world’s expectations of him.
As a key component behind some of the most daring dancefloor music released in the last year, both as a producer and as a label owner – Kennedy co-runs the Hessle Audio imprint, alongside Pangaea and Ben UFO - he’s travelled the world numerous times over releasing music by key producers like Joe, Elgato and James Blake as he’s done it.

MARCELLUS PITTMAN
When other children were playing combat with G.I. Joe action figures in the early 80’s, Detroit native Marcellus “Malik†Pittman was playing his radio at maximum volume, listening to the sounds of “the Wizard†and the “Electrifying Mojoâ€, in addition to the jazz outputs of Rosetta Hines.
Malik began his DJ pursuits for college parties, wedding receptions, “old school parties†in the early 90’s. In 1993, Malik released his initial work of production with local Hip-Hop collective “Home Grownâ€. Shortly thereafter, he released “Essential Selections, Vol. 1†on the Sound Signature label, headed by Theo Parrish. In 1998, Malik forged a working relationship with Rick Wilhite, Theo
Parrish and Kenny “Moodymann†Dixon, collectively known as the 3 Chairs. As production artists and selectors, they have helped to define an integral part of the Detroit sound. Malik’s sound has been around the Detroit and surrounding areas, as well as internationally, spanning Canada, the UK, Germany, Japan and Paris.

PARIAH
Pariah is 22 year old producer Arthur Cayzer. Originally from Scotland, Arthur is now based in London where he studies at university. Having always been hugely passionate about music, at the beginning of 2009 he made his first steps into production and DJ'ing.
2010 saw the release of his debut 10" single "Detroit Falls/Orpheus" on the newly revitalised label, R&S, to which he is signed. That was followed up a few months later with a 6 track EP entitled "Safehouses". Arthur has a number of releases planned for the year, including a collaborative EP with fellow producer Blawan. He has also begun work on his debut album
which will come out at some point on R&S in the not too distant future."
