Carlotek Bio
Carlos Martín AKA Carlotek, was born into the music industry. His father, Juan Martín, is a critically acclaimed International Flamenco Guitarist, who has 18 albums to his name on labels like BMG, WEA and EMI.
Carlos learnt the Flamenco guitar from an early age, learning to play to concert giving standard by the age of 10. Growing up in London, he embraced Electronic music and decided that for his first release he would put Flamenco and House music together, to create Flamencotek! The release ‘Rosario’ featured his father and it went on to get support from DJs like; Roger Sanchez, Chris Lake, Nic Fancuilli & Dubfire. The momentum didn’t stop there, as the fusion record gathered radio play on; MOS Radio, The Galaxy Network, Juice FM (Brighton) and BBC London, as well as inspiring multiple press articles.
Now looking forward to his forthcoming 3rd release on F*** House Music! Carlos has been enjoying press coverage from the likes of ilike music, The Beat Surrender, El Iberico & Entertainment Focus. Meanwhile on the live side Carlos has played at clubs like Fabric, 93 Feet East, The Rhythm Factory and Public Life. He has a monthly residency at The Horse & Groom, where he plays his mixture of Deep & Tech-House at the Point Blank Label Night, the label which he runs during the week, as it’s Label Co-ordinator.
