• New Year’s Eve 2012 will be the first time the mighty 751 GREEN ZONE has ever been used for a large-scale music event
• Audiophiles and bass addicts listen up: the NOVA soundsystem will be under the command of a sound engineer from Funktion One, whose world-beating speaker technology powers events such as The Chemical Brothers Live and Glastonbury Festival
• Communist-era storage tanks can get a little chilly, but FDC has got you covered – the Green Zone will be fitted with a full-scale temperature control system
• Darren Emerson’s timeless track ‘Born Slippy’ shot to fame when it was used in the final scene of Trainspotting, but he and his bandmates claim that its pounding beat and nonsensical lyrics were originally meant “as a joke”
• NOVA 2012’s Chief Visual Engineer Markus Schneider has been lighting up Beijing’s dance music scene with his visual mastery for several years now, but his long list of projects includes work on the Golden Globes and for Universal Studios in Japan
