Mike Huckaby has done much for Detroit electronic music.
The man behind the once legendary Record Time store has gathered an encyclopedic knowledge of music.
He is one of those guys who knows all the roots and culture of electronic dance music. He is a person who can see beyond the hype and divisions within the scene. Mike knows exactly what the music is.Mike Huckaby has become the busiest remixer from Detroit in the past few years. Mike has been
busy producing music on his two labels, Deep Transportation, and S Y N T H, which are well known amongst underground djs worldwide.
With highly acclaimed deep house productions and remixes for Deepchord, Juan Atkins, Vladislav Delay, Pole, Loco Dice, LoSoul, and Pacou, (just to name a
few ) Mike sees no end in the near future. Furthermore,Mike Huckaby has been touring, djing, and teaching music production with Native Instruments and
Ableton software at Youthville, and around the globe extensively.
Mike brings the Detroit sound of deep house and techno with him. He knows the balance between deep house and techno like no other. Promoters
know that they can put Mike Huckaby in any room!
V.Sexion
Vasilis Pallas a.k.a. V.Sexion was born in the late 80’s. His love for music early showed up through genres like jazz, rock and punk, afro beats, garage house and urban music which finally deeply influenced him in his developing a particular music style.
In his adolescence V got interested in mixing up his influences along with techno and house. It was later on though, that met Ntanos with whom established “Effections”,a DJ duo that experimented with electronic sounds trying to find a very special identity that would make them distinguish in Athens Club scene.
V.Sexion's music balances between Techno and House borders, combining jazzy and ambient elements, with the deep touch always playing a big role in his productions.
2009-2010 was definitely a defining year with a debut digital release in Siteholder Records based in Chicago, signed by both him and his co-friend Ntanos and his personal deput 12’ EP signed in Safari Electronique. EPs in labels such as Diaphan, Catwash, Time Has Changed, Suchtreflex, Rythmetic, a participation in the 8bit Reasons mixed by Gorge and another one in Percusa as well as Deep Series is some of what followed with his last EP “Somewhere Else” in Area Remote earning big support from the greatest of the scene…
