Another year in the life of Karnival goes by, and what a year it's been! With a refusal to be pigeon-holed the past 12 months has seen Karnival play host to a diverse selection of guests from the world of House & Techno including Andrew Weatherall, Ivan Smagghe, Damian Lazarus, Funk D'Void, Jesse Rose, Lutzenkirchen, Paolo Mojo, Justin Robertson & Aqua Bassino aswell as a host of local talent from across the city including DJs from clubs such as Pulse, Rendezvous, Kapital, Hush, Souloco and many more.
Saturday 28th January sees us celebrate our 6th Birthday and to help us blow out the candles we've invited a certain Frenchman who goes by the name of... POPOF !!! Yep the Form Records head honcho will be touching down to deliver his unique blend of Minimal Techno, Tech-House, Techno & Electro and we cant bloody wait !
Main room support comes from Karnival residents Mike Pinkerton, Stu Todd & The Oxygen Junkies whilst hot of the heels from their sold out event at the Botanic Gardens Edinburgh's club collective showcase brand 'Edinburgh Rock's' will be taking charge of Room 2, with Edinburgh Rocks favourites Mark Price, Donna Love and Edinburgh Rock's Radio's 'Mistersmith' providing the sounds.
Upstairs in the Speakeasy keeping things very much on a house & disco tip our very own Robin MacDonald & Michael Notarangelo will be joined by Hush's Mick MacNeil & Hans Kato and Tony Nicol & Lee Mutch of Fuse fame!
The entire event will also be filmed by Edinburgh Rock's TV with presenter Robbie Purves and Tilllater magazine's Gemma Haigh on hand to capture and interview all the excitement from all 3 rooms.
