Friday 30th March will mark the first birthday of CUBED at SUB89 and we are delighted to announce a killer line-up to mark this special occasion! FAKE BLOOD headlines the event, a DJ we have wanted to bring to Reading since we first heard that infamous ‘bing’ on his 2008 hit ‘Mars’.
‘Mars’ wasn’t a one hit wonder and there were substantial bombs and remixes to follow including the 2009 ‘Fix Your Accent EP’. This featured the cross-over hit ‘I Think I Like It’, warranting its own release as a single in 2009. On the remix front Armand Van Helden, The Count & Sinden, Little Boots, Hot Chip, Calvin Harris, Miike Snow, The Gossip and Noah And The Whale are just a few of the acts that have had blood splashed all over them, with equally impressive results.
If there ever was an award for most eclectic and diverse career in dance music, Theo Keating would be a deserving winner. Other guises include The Black Ghosts, and most notably as DJ Touché in The Wiseguys, who released the 1998 classic ‘Ooh La La’.
Fake Blood is one of the most sought after DJs at festivals and super clubs, we can’t think of a better birthday present for everyone who has supported Cubed in its first year!
