With only two parties under their belt to date, Void has already established itself as a formidable force in presenting quality underground electronic sounds, with their previous nights at Glasgow's Chambre 69 being packed to the rafters thanks to the talents of their solid residents, and guests like Micron Audio's Galaxian and Magic Waves' Casionova. Now for their 3rd Transmission, Void are drafting in the bulk of the This Is Our House crew, backed by ALL CAPS' Ryan Martin and Void residents Ean & Twonko for what is sure to be another tutorial in dancefloor destruction.
The This Is Our House website was founded in January 2011 by Meschi, Frank Mitchell and Mother as a platfrom to showcase underground House & Techno and beyond via reviews, features and mixes, and has recently brought in the scribing talents of the mighty Perseus Traxx and Dundee wax-fanatic Don O'Kane. Not content with simply writing about music, all members are producers and/or DJ's in their own right. Meschi first came to prominence on Lunar Disko's "House Expressions" E.P, and since then has released a handful of 12"s, the most recent being the killer "Light Wave Theory" on Lux, not to mention taking his thundering live set across the UK and Ireland in recent months. For those who haven't been living under a rock for the past year, Perseus Traxx will need no introduction. An ever-prolific man of machines, Perseus has been hitting us with deadly cut after deadly cut for acclaimed labels such as MOS, Bunker, Boe and his own Future Flash imprint, and his live exploitation of analogue equipment is an awesome sound to behold.
For Void, Meschi & Perseus Traxx will be presenting a one-off collaborative, improvised live set. Making up the T.I.O.H DJ assault squad is Frank Mitchell and Mother. Previousely involved in nights such as Magic Waves, Frank has been peddling his mixing skills around London clubs and beyond, blending fiery selections of Disco, House and Electro with deft craftmanship. Glasgow resident Mother, DJ of 11 years and ex-colleague of the late-great John Peel, has previousely served as a resident at Glasgow's trailblazing Fortified Sessions and the legendary Lo Recordings nights in London, bringing punters a wide variety of heat from Techno to Free Jazz via Cosmic Soundscapes. Joining them will be Ryan Martin, founding member of ALL CAPS and no stranger to rocking a party with his carefully selected prime cuts of Detroit House'/Electro and tough, grooving Techno. As always, the more than capable Void residents, this time in the form of the mightily talented Ean & Twonko, will be in full effect to hammer out the jams until yer limbs are on the verge of breaking.
