With their roots in the rolling hills of Tuscany, Bosconi Records stands proud as a shining example of creativity and craftsmanship in the Italian music scene. With a back catalogue rich in hand-crafted house music, unique downtempo beats and all the moods in between, the label has worked tirelessly to bring pride back to the musical output of Italy. It seems surprising then, that the label has never had a chance to celebrate itself in the appropriate way, always providing its Latin flavour for other peoples parties, but never throwing its own.
Now though, the label has reached a ripe age with a strong, mature roster of artists and associates, and the time is right to bring all these electrifying imaginations together in one glorious 12 hour session, the likes of which no-one present will ever forget.
Those aforementioned rolling hills of Tuscany have always formed the inspiration for Bosconi; an organic heart beats away behind every track, rooted in the beautiful countryside where the label was born. As such, a celebration of the label must reflect these origins, and so the first Bosconi Festival will take place in the stunning grounds surrounding the Casale Tea, just outside Rome.
Anyone deeply entrenched in the Italian music scene will have heard of the Fiesta Privada parties, and it is with the collaboration of these long-time friends of Bosconi that this new event will take place. With their pure commitment to creating the best possible party atmosphere, there is no-one better suited to reflecting Bosconi’s character in the organisation of the event. Of course the location is one key piece of the puzzle, but as always with Bosconi, the music takes precedent.
With a line-up this strong it’s hard to know where to begin, but the obvious place would be with the one and only DJ Sneak, a relatively new part of the Bosconi clan. The godfather of bumping mid-90s Chicago House has left an indelible mark on the face of dance music, and his presence highlights the importance Bosconi places on the roots of the music it presents to the world.
Amongst the other talents behind the decks are the Dutch wizardry of San Proper, the cerebral jack of Ricardo Miranda and the chunky swagger of Altered Natives, while the local crew are well represented with Marcello Napoletano & IFM and of course the Bosconi Soundsystem featuring label founder Fabio Della Torre, Rufus, Mass Prod and Alex Picone.
For live performances, there’s no shortage of talent on the Bosconi roster and Minimono perfectly represent the pastoral, expressive nature of the Bosconi Extra Virgin sub-label. Add to that the widely celebrated acid house styles of Life’s Track and the psychedelic funk of The Clover and it’s clear to see how accomplished Bosconi has become as a label in just four years of operation.
Spread across two stages, the diverse music of the label will ring out from noon until midnight so with the correct temperature set and the musical ingredients coming from the best possible sources, the Bosconi Festival is already simmering with anticipation. Just imagine how good it will taste on the night.

While the Italian talent informs most of the line-up, the careful selection of the international artists reflects the critical way in which the artistic direction of Bosconi is pointed.
San Proper represents the Dutch contingent with his appearance, having recently remixed The Clover after impressing Bosconi with his playful releases on Perlon and Dekmantel.
Ricardo Miranda is one of the legends in the history of Chicago dance music only now receiving recognition for his art. Whether producing rough peak-time jacking house or subtle and heartfelt deep tracks, his style is unmistakable.
Altered Natives represents a very complex kind of musician, managing to be both brutal and delicate in the same beat. His bass heavy cuts come from a history in broken beat, which has since evolved into a relentless wave of truly independent house music that he releases himself.
