About: A Dj Contest organized by Parties 4 Peace to choose one lucky Dj / Producer to travel to Chile South America in Feb, 2013 for the next round of Patagonica events, organized together with international producers and artists who promote sustainability and respect for our environment while traveling between Japan and Chile to organize music events in pro of making Patagonia a World Heritage site to be recognized by UNESCO. The Peace Boat's 78th Global Voyage will be visiting the ports of Punta Arenas and Valparaiso, Chile during their world tour. Parties 4 Peace will join in helping promote environmental awareness through our DJ tour and events in Chile.

What: DJコンテスト - 東京在住のトップＤＪたちの中から選ばれた一人が、南米チリに行って現地のＤＪたちとパーティーをしながらパタゴニアキャンペーンを広めます。当日その一人を決めるのは来てくれたあなたの一票です。
チリおよびアルゼンチン南部に広がるパタゴニア。その手つかずの美しい自然を、電力会社を筆頭とした企業がダムなどを造って荒らさないように、パタゴニアを世界遺産に指定するキャンペーンがあります。そのことによって該当地域の環境保護を促進することができます。6月に青山のM Event Spaceで行われるこのイベント「パタゴニカ」はこのキャンペーンの注目度を上げ、一部資金を援助する目的をもったイベントです。

マルコはチリのサンティアゴ生まれ。１３歳の時に音楽のキャリアをスタート。彼のシンプルで音の本質を生かしたプレイは常にオーディエンスを魅了している。
彼の楽曲はテクノとハウスに基づいているが、ロックンロール、ファンクとジャズの影響も受けている。そしてエクスペリメンタルやオーガニックなサウンドも創り出している。いづれにせよ彼のグルーヴはピースとハッピネスな刺激をフロアに与えている。
高度なテクニックを駆使すると同時に、オーディエンスとの一体感を大切にした彼のプレイはフロアに特別な空間をつくり出すだけでなく、彼のミュージックがクラウドに愛と音楽的探究心という一体感をもたらしている。
最近は楽曲活動を中心に、DJとしてもチリで一番と言われているClub la FeriaやClub the Solと言ったクラブでプレイしている。
ブリティッシュ・ミュージック、ファンク、そして70年代のロックンロールをプレイしていたが、2006年にこれらのレコードを売り、新しい音楽をプレイする事を決意する。
2008年には劇的な転機を迎え、自身の楽曲活動を開始する。ファーストEPをチリのDNW Recordsからリリースし、そして Agua & SedやReal Music de Italiaと言ったレーベルから次々に楽曲をリリースする。
2010年にはスペインのレーベルFormula Recs of Wally Lopezとの契約により、彼のミュージック・プロデューサーとしてのキャリアに大きな実績を残す。
2010年の12月13日にリリースされた”Chile”のヴァイナルはベストセラーとなる。この楽曲はPaco Osuna、Brothers Vibes、Marco NasticそしてPaul Oakenfoldと言ったアーティストからサポートと絶大な支持を得る。
2012年の５月、DJ・プロデューサーのコンテスト”Patagonica”( “Parties 4 Peace"オーガナイズ)で１位を獲得し、同年の６月には10日間の東京ツアーが決定している。

■■■ ENGLISH BIO ■■■
Marcos was born in Santiago de Chile. With the age of 13 he started to play music. His work was always appreciated by the audience because of his simply and innate fascination for the sound.
His productions are strongly based in Techno and House, but were often influenced by elements of Rock’n Roll, Funk and Jazz. He also worked with experimental and organic sounds. In any case the groove of hiscreations stimulates an atmosphere of happiness and peace on the floor.
Thanks to his excellent technique in playing music and his capacity of interacting with the audience, he generates exceptional moments on the floor. Listening his music invites you on a magical voyage full of intimacy, love and enthusiasm.
Currently, he keeps himself busy with his own music productions and he works as a DJ for the best Chilean clubs, such as Club la Feria and Club the Sol.
PLAYING British music, Funk and Rock’n Roll of the 70ies in 2006 he decides to keep these vinyl's in store to dive into the music of the future.
In 2008 he made a significant creative change in the way that he started to produce his own music. He published his first EP‘s with the Chilean labels DNW Records, Agua & Sed and Real Music de Italia.
In 2010 he made the first big step in his career as a music producer by signing an agreement with the Spanish label Formula Recs of Wally Lopez.
The record called «Chile» was released on 13th December 2010 and became a top seller. For this record he received a lot of support and gained recognition of several artists like Paco Osuna, Brothers Vibes, Marco Nastic and Paul Oakenfold.
In May 2012 he won the DJ & producer contest "Patagonica" (organized by “Parties 4 Peace") and will travel to Tokio for a 10-day-tour in June 2012.

Congratulations to the Chilean Producer, Marco Latrach who willl join us for a round of events in Japan this summer in June of 2012 ! All funds from our events go towards protecting the nature in Patagonia, Chile and supporting the exchange of artists between Asia and South America。
南米パタゴニアの自然をダム建設などから守り、世界遺産にしようという運動の啓蒙と、日本とチリのダンスミュージックアーティストの交流を目的としたプロジェクト"Patagonica" が主催するDJコンテストが今年も 6月にM Bar Daikanyamaで行われるのを受け、同コンテストの出場者を募集している。
優勝者は2013年2月にチリで行われる Patagonica のイベントに招待され、各地でプレイの機会を与えられる。

At the Patagonica Dj Contest in June, the crowd will vote for their prefered artist, and the winning artist will be announced at the end of the evening, winning a free trip to play music in Chile, South America with leading artists in the techno scene in February, 2013.
** After party to celebrate with the winner will be held at JAM in Omotesando ! Free entrance !
The funds collected at the Patagonica Dj Contest will be donated towards the environmental campaign to make Patagonia a World Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO in Chile.
