New York promoters FIXED and The Dog & Pony Show are teaming up to throw a monthly Sunday/Saturday afternoon party in Brooklyn over the summer, beginning on June 3rd.
The three parties will take place from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Dekalb Market, a new community marketplace with an open area flanked by shops based in salvaged shipping containers. The program announced so far includes a mix of live acts and DJs. Holy Ghost! will headline the June show along with local live duo Blondes (Live), whose debut album was released on Rvng Intl. a few months ago. Portland indie outfit Chromatics will perform live at the second edition on July 22nd. UK disco DJ Maxxi Soundsystem is confirmed for the final event on August 18th. The Dog & Pony Show's Paul Raffaele and JDH & Dave P from Fixed will DJ at each party as well. Further lineup additions, including a couple more headliners, are still forthcoming.
