Spanish Unit regresa por segundo año consecutivo en el marco festivo de la semana del Sonar. Una semana llena de fiestas por toda la ciudad que durante seis dÃas se convierte en una marea de gente dispuesta a divertirse y celebrar su pasión por la música electrónica.
Nuestra particular propuesta para el conocido circuito Off Sonar es Spanish Unit, la unión de algunos de los mejores artistas españoles del panorama techno y house underground, convirtiéndose en punto de encuentro para un público fiel que desea escuchar a nuestros artistas y todo el discurso que tienen preparado.
El año pasado Spanish Unit fue una de las fiestas más sonadas y celebradas de la semana Off Sonar y este año vuelve con todos los integrantes del grupo e incluso caras nuevas, además, muchos de ellos son ya artistas totalmente consagrados en el panorama internacional.
Spanish Unit no es sólo una fiesta, es la comunión entre los artistas hace que sobresalga por encima de la música, ese feeling de compenetración entre amigos, entre compañeros. Un sentimiento que se transmite al publico.
Spanish Unit es un sentimiento de unidad hecho música, hecho fiesta.
Desde todos los rincones del paÃs, nuestros artistas mas representativos estarán en la cabina, dando todo lo necesario para repetir y multiplicar lo hecho y vivido el año pasado.
Desde Soundfate y de la mano de Tronic, nos llega nuestro padrino del techno melódico. Dosem es uno de los artistas con mas proyección internacional de este último año y será el encargado de poner el corazón a la fiesta. Su música es un viaje astral.
Los Suruba no necesitan presentación. Dueños de uno de los sellos más potentes del house nacional, presentes con sus producciones en las sesiones de la mayorÃa de artistas de la nueva escuela (véase Jamie Jones como ejemplo). Ellos son las manos de Spanish Unit.
Triumph es el boss de Espai Music, un sello que el gran Laurent Garnier adora y sus releases son pinchadas por el galo en todo el mundo. A parte de su enorme proyección y su gran gusto musical, Triumph aporta el cuerpo y la elegancia a la fiesta.
Después de viajar por todo el mundo Edu Imbernon regresa a Spanish Unit con su sonido caracterÃstico y con toda la grandeza que le ha dado salir en los mejores labels del mundo y junto a Los Suruba, tener el placer y orgullo de tener un videoclip en la mismÃsima MTV. Jefe de Eklektish sigue dando números uno al mercado y es los pies de Spanish.
Ramiro Lopez es posiblemente uno de los dj's y productores de la nueva hornada de artistas nacionales que mayor proyección está teniendo en la escena. Nominado recientemente como mejor dj revelación, sigue su carrera haciendo lo que mejor sabe, música para la pista, para el disfrute.
Ivan Picazo continua imparable con sus producciones y su sonido tan caracterÃstico. Capaz de defenderse con cualquier estilo, el catalán está siendo reclamado por labels tan emblemáticos como Siesta Records.
One D es la nueva incorporación a Spanish Unit. Después de un año meteórico, el de Girona ha enamorado a medio paÃs con sus elegantes producciones. Estamos impacientes de ver qué es lo que puede aportar a este gran grupo.
Y si todo esto no ha sido suficiente, todavÃa hay más. Entre nosotros tenemos el placer de contar con toda una estrella, salida de las altas esferas de la escena, y que este año repite con nosotros. Un Secret Guest cuyas producciones son admiradas por todo el mundo. Es sin duda, uno de los mejores artistas que ha dado este paÃs. ¿Quién será?
Y no podÃa faltar en Spanish otra de las figuras clave de este paÃs. Desde Suara, uno de los 50 sellos más charteados de la historia de Resident Advisor (único label español), tenemos el lujo de contar en las filas de la fiesta a nuestro Suara Big Cat. Otro gran dj y productor que está haciendo de este 2012 su gran año.

Spanish Unit returns for the second year in a row this Sonar week 2012. A
week fully-loaded with parties throughout the city, attracting a huge crowd up for some serious fun and ready to celebrate their passion for electronic music.
To add to the the incredible Off-Sonar selection this year we present Spanish Unit - bringing together the best  underground house and techno artists from Spain. We are providing a unique meeting point for our loyal followers that want to listen to our artists and catch up on their latest creations.
Last year Spanish Unit was one of the most talked about and celebrated Off-Sonar parties,
and this year it returns with all the founding members, as well as some new faces already tearing it up on the international scene.
Spanish Unit is not just a party: it’s a connection between artists that makes it stand out above the music; a rapport between friends, between colleagues. A feeling which is automatically transmitted to the public.
Spanish Unit is a feeling of unity shown through music, and through its parties.
From all 4 corners of the country, our top artists will be in the cockpit, giving it their all to show their achievements over the last year.
From Soundfate and Tronic comes the godfather of melodic techno. Dosem is one of the most acclaimed international artists of the year, bringing heart and soul to the party on a cosmic beat journey.
Los Suruba need no introduction. Owners of one of the most powerful Spanish house labels, their tracks are ever present on the playlists of many big new-school artists such as Jamie Jones. They act as the powerful hands of Spanish Unit.
Triumph is the boss of Espai Music, a label loved by the great Laurent Garnier who plays their releases worldwide. Apart from his huge presence and great taste in music, Triumph brings body and elegance to the party.
After traveling the globe, Edu Imbernon returns to Spanish Unit with his signature sound and all the greatness that has seen him released on some of the best labels in the world. Alongside Los Suruba, they are proud to have a music video featured on MTV. The head of Eklektish continues to reach the number one spot, and can be seen as the solidly grounded feet of Spanish Unit.
