These boys from Antwerp don’t only make the party; they tear the roof or even the whole club down. If you can’t find one of them in the dj-booth, they're probably too busy crowd surfing. You might find yourself saying “amazing”, “insane” or “what just happened?” after a party with them, but they prefer BOINK! or WHOOP WHOOP! With The Oddword you can expect even the most unexpected. Prepare yourself for moshpits, walls of death or even your grandma giving her best shots. 2011 was the year of The Oddword. They played at some big festivals in Belgium such as Tomorrowland, Laundry Day and many more. Also Europe was calling. The end of 2011 The Oddword released their second EP after doing some remixes. In 2012 expect some crazy shit and great gigs around the whole globe… AEROTRONIC Jordi Moonen and Laurens Van Steenbergen, also known as Aerotronic, met each other at the age of seven and discovered at this very young age to share the same taste of music. They managed to be part of the 'Mako Records' Label by Proxy, with a release in 2011, supported by artists such as Mr. Oizo, Zombie Nation and Mixhell. Aerotronic then signed on 'Boxon Records' and 'Techno Changed My Life'. Despite the fact of having the Belgian nationality, the duo is tending to have an international reputation by performing on stages across Switzerland, France, Austria, Germany, Portugal and many other places. 2012 marks a new episode for Aerotronic, leaving the trashy electro for good, as they embark on a techno mission. They created an innovative original new sound, without losing the energy Aerotronic was well-known for. With new releases on Teenage Riot, Boxon Records and remixes on Overcooked Records, Bass=Win, and many more, the year of 2012 looks bright for these youngsters. Aerotronic is ready to conquer the dancefloors and the hearts of many electronic melomaniacs. CAPTAIN FLASH Captain Flash has been rocking the decks since he was barely toilet trained, when he rifled through his brothers’ new beat and new wave record collection. He began playing at local rave parties where he always whipped the crowd into a frenzy. After that, he was taken under the wing of Vitalic and Keatch where he produced and released his first banging RAVERS EP on KEATCHEN RECORDS that made the difference into the oldskool techno/rave scene. Captain Flash is not limited to techno and rave, instead he is combining electro classics, minimal and tech house to create a new sound that the entire staff of beatport and itunes has been trying to name last year. Now part of the Overcooked family, Captain Flash has begun his mission with forthcoming originals and many remixes in store for the likes of Dim Mak Records, Boxon Records, and many more. Expect the Captain to be here for a long time! TRASH JUNK The black helmed defender of hard trash electro from west Austria brings chaos and destruction to the dancefloor with what can only be described as massive chainsaw sounds and banging mixes. It all began in the year 2008 with dj sets all over his home country, which gave him the chance to play beside artists like Jack Beats, Mr. Flash, Pony Bomb, Dirty Disco Youth, The Sexinvaders, Drunken Masters and many more. In the spring of 2010, Trash Junk decided to start producing more intensively and took a break from playing live. After his first release, "The Good Morning EP", a slew of remix inquiries followed. On top of the official remixes, Trash Junk won 4 remix competitions and also went on to release on labels such as Globelle Records, Onion Records, BlocBeatz, Macro Records, Bombeatz, and many more. Now joined to the Overcooked Roster, Trash Junk continues to impress us with his studio ability and remixes but apart from all that, he is also the founder of the party series, "Be Crooked." If one thing is for certain, it's that Trash Junk's block rockin' beats drop like bombs. He has been described as a force to be reckoned with in the electronic music scene so be sure to stay tuned to this explosive artist and keep rocking hard! DEAFMAN From the ashes of electroclash, the blackened parts of a time machine shattered by malfunction now auto erect to become the five time megaton award winning sound of Deafman. This is death star cockpit music, electric anti-rebel juice. The syncopated screams you hear when mad max rapes a robot, captured in sawtooths and sinewaves, and forbidden by law in almost every dimension. The music of Deafman is too heavy for contemporary devices. They can't handle what only solid state technology could produce. PEREGRINE As from 2006 he started abusing the decks. It wasn't until 2008, when he started hosting the infamous Stand Your Ground parties in his hometown, he got a serious push forward in the scene. As both co-organiser and resident DJ of SYG he managed to mark and enrich the nightlife in his neighbourhood, inviting fellow dj’s & producers like Alden Tyrell (Nl), Moonlight Matters, Rave Our Souls, Ed&Kim, Voltron, Captain Flash, Sigi, Fratelli Music, Goldfox and many others. He steadily built up his name and along the way he earned spots on bigger concepts like Breakdown (Hasselt), Cubic Clash (Turnhout), The Red Room (Heusden), Silo (Leuven), The Zoo (Hasselt), Minefest, … He combines a very eclectic taste of contemporary & everlasting music in his sets, which embodies his unconditional love for electronic music and its subgenres like electro, balearic beats, nu-disco, breaks, baltimore, techhouse, techno & dropping a forgotten classic from time to time. All served with a firm dosis of funk and pure energy. Expect to be hearing a lot more about Peregrine this year and beyond! ----------------------- €10 Advance €15 At Door https://www.trackitdown.net/event/overcooked-records-presents-whats-on-the-menu/261.html Friday, November 2nd, 2012 Culture Club Afrikalaan 174 9000 Ghent, Oost-Vlaanderen Belgium ----------------------- MUSIC THAT BITES
