Anyone tapped into the pulse or keeping score of modern electronic music has probably heard of Timo Garcia. Straddling the fine line between underground darling and big room, big tune dance floor arsonist, his numerous releases on the circuit's biggest and best labels has been well documented as he kicks off 2012 ranked number 235 DJ in the world by the weekly Muso global top 1000 DJ poll (2nd January, 12)
In a world when DJs and producers are ten-a-penny and the hype machines peddle mediocrity as if it were something special, it can be difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff. As such, the currency de jour is consistency & recommendations...
His consistency in the studio has culminated in ‘Wonderlust Bug’; his acclaimed debut artist album with some of the world’s biggest names queuing up to recommend it... [Sasha] “The Hang Drum track is amazing - as is Release, Wonderlust and Lady Luck and the mixed album flows wonderfully too, keep it up mate”. But talk is cheap, action stands out, and Timo comes up trumps again! His recent release on Sharam’s Yoshitoshi imprint recently graced the Beatport top 10 Tech charts for well over five months with many world class DJs citing it in their personal top 10’s and Defected featuring it on their In The House Brazil ’11 compilation.
2010 also saw the release of a double CD, littered with remixes from his album tracks by production heavyweights that include DJ Pierre, Onionz, Eric Kupper and James Harcourt. It is a testament to Timo’s calibre that such big names are ready to remix his work and is a pleasant shift from him doing the remixing – his deft touch can be heard on remixes of such luminaries as Leftfield, Justice, DJ Pierre, Louis Vega, Robert Owens, Coldcut, Danny Howells and Ian Brown and he is constantly on the lookout for ways to add his inimitable sound to wide-ranging projects including a 14 track ambient album under his new ‘T_Mo’ guise.
His infamy has spread among the label bosses who set the trends and create the future- heroes of our worlds. Yoshitoshi, OFF, Compost, Skint, Southern Fried, 303 Lovers, Nervous, Audio Therapy, Dieb Audio, Cr2 & Toolroom are just some of the world-famous imprints who have clamoured to get a piece of Timo’s brilliance. And his recent collaborations with X-Press 2, Jerome Sydenham and DJ Pierre all saw their global release in 2011 too.
It seems incredible that he still has time to DJ around the world as well as working behind the scenes engineering and mixing down many other artists’ projects in both his London and Brighton based studios. Last summer saw him play the main stage at London’s biggest Dance music festival ‘South West Four’ as well as headlining festival stages from Brazil to India; but this is a man who has both a dedication and a love for his craft and this is something that he exudes, whether behind the decks or in the studio.

In 2011, after a number of years being good mates and sharing a passion for anything house related the trio of dj's and producers from Kent formed Emeskay.
With individual skills ranging from talent behind the deck's, mc'ing, writing lyrics to the creation and brains in the studio this next step was inevitable
Bringing sounds/music from three different backgrounds, minds and imaginations gives the trio a real armoury when in the studio.
Their influences are taken from right across the musical spectrum from old school, funky house, electro, tech house, deep house, right through to garage/speed garage, drum n bass and hip hop. This mix of personalities and musical taste always makes time in the studio eventful!
Emeskay released their first EP on Unrivaled Music entitled "The Positronic Robot Series Part 1" featuring Positronic and Equalize on 9th April 2012 - Their second EP,
"The Positronic Robot Series Part 2" featuring Morpheus and Engage was released on 14th May 2012
Their latest track Planet Party was released on 9th July 2012 on Sounds of Juan and contains remixes from Beboo and 116db.
Their tracks have each hit the top 10 in the Deep and Tech house charts and have been featured on loads of radio shows including Manchester Global Radio, Ministry of Sound Radio and BBC Radio Kent Introducing and have received support from some of the industry greats including Roger Sanchez, Luciano, Danny Tenaglia, Timo Garcia, Paco Osuna and many more!

Echo Vacio's
Gary Byfield
Echo Vacio is the brain child of up and coming dj’s/producers, Gary Byfield and Bryan Chapman. Combining their years of experience in-front of and behind the decks they have been working hard in the studio to ensure 2010 is a year to remember. Their working relationship began after they both won a dj competition which resulted in a back to back headlining set, it was then they realised that not only did they work well together on the controls but their love of techno was equally shared. Since then Echo Vacio have had releases on labels such as Spektre’s Respekt Recordings, Alex Di Stefano’s Binary404.com and remixes featured on labels such as Meat Katie’s Lot49 imprint. The support these guys have accumulated over the year sounds like a who’s who of house and techno with artists such as Carl Cox, Umek, Spektre, Dubfire, Alex Di Stefano and Eddie Halliwell consistently playing and supporting their material. The year is set to end with more releases and remixes coming from the lads and 2011 is shaping up to be a hell of a lot busier for UK duo.
