The Triptik record label has always been about exposing emerging talent in the North East. It’s this mission that drives label boss, Tim Shaw, to consistently deliver Triptik’s unique brand of essential electronic dance music, which has so far seen releases from local underground heroes such as Joonipah, Mr. Blazey, Verso, and Trafik Soundsystem.
With the Triptik sound currently encompassing everything from straight-up dancefloor bombs, to the more laid-back end of the spectrum (think of the perfect soundtracks to those post-club gatherings in smoky, afterparty kitchens), it’s this all-embracing love of electronic dance music on the whole that underpins the thinking behind this planned series of forthcoming "Triptik Presents…" warehouse parties at Newcastle’s Hoult’s Yard.
"Triptik Presents…" will seek to not only showcase the live performance and DJing capabilities of the label artists themselves, but to also make known the talents of other local DJ’s, producers and record labels as a means to establish the night as a regular player on the North East’s already thriving underground dance music circuit.
