The East London Underground scene is hotter than ever at the moment and The Disassociates are a collective that really know which buttons to press to get their dance floor loving party kids grooving right through the night. After a successful stint hosting the basement at the Platinum’s Get Out! night, this East End duo have recently taken over the whole building with their euphoniously titled monthly shindig.
DJ’s at their previous parties have included King Roc, Jimpster and Tom Mangan, but more often than not it’s the pair’s own unique brand of leftfield, melody driven house and techno that ends up stealing the show. Monthly residency Disassociate is set to solidify their reputation as one of the strongest duos in the Smoke. This impeccable line up of talents which have been carefully handpicked for tonight’s shin dig are sure to inject bundles of energy into any party and have you grooving into the early hours…
Special guest DJ to start off this monthly residency at Platinum is SILVERSURFER. Releasing on Crosstown Rebels, Playhouse, Firm and End Recordings, this turntable wizz truly embraces the underground side of deep house sounds dropping the most cutting edge sounds to what promises to be a totally up for it party crew.
The Dissassociates are also delighted to present rising star Johnny Arthur (Chicken Nickers) for their February party. This young fellow commands an enviable wave of support from all of the big players, thus far rubbing his dj-ing shoulders with the likes of Alex Smoke, Martin Landansky and Magda. He’s definitely one to watch out for. Also we have electro spinner and production wiz Oli Goodwin (Friday night radio), who will guarantee an injection of electro jems throughout his set. As if that wasn’t enough, we also have Peter Goodwin (Medicine Bar, Islington) providing plump, fleshy tech house flavours. And with the Sports Rave posse also providing unfaultable underground music to exercise your arms and legs all night long to, it’s only fair to say that it’s a totally unfaultable line up again at Platinum!
From an underground basement disco haven, winding up the wooden staircases through two further party spaces to a New York style loft space and with cosy sofas throughout, Platinum has perfect facilities for all night dancing as well as chatting and chilling too. With a music policy that guarantees the freshest and best underground sounds from its constantly evolving pool of talent, you are left wanting for nothing more!
