Producing records since 2002, releasing internationally since 2006, Irishman Chymera has carefully honed his melodic brand of techno and house over the years and found support from a wide range of DJs and fans in the process. Having spent three creative years in Barcelona, Chymera relocated to Berlin in 2010. He has released on labels as diverse as Figure, Connaisseur, Komplex De Deep and Cocoon Recordings among others and proved a versatile artist whether producing deep house through to big room techno, but all with the trademark Chymera feeling. If house music is, using the words of Chicago legend Frankie Knuckles "like church for people, who have fallen from grace", then Afrilounge trio are the diligent altar boys of this hedonistic mass. No matter if you catch them DJing at one of their live gigs or enjoy listening to their tracks and remixes, a fine sense a suspense, ecstasy and redemption designates all of their work. Eduard Hartter, Markus Liefke and Richard Rotfuß are Afrilounge: regulars all over the European club scene with their very groovy meandering between deep and techy, epic build ups, a dramatic break and an almost cheerful resolution. For Alex Flitsch, music is an obsession. Since the early nineties, the label owner of Connaisseur Recordings has been firmly rooted in the electronic music scene. Living in Frankfurt by choice, the studied advertiser has been working as a DJ since 1994 and is an enthusiastic collector. In the course of his DJ career, Alex Flitsch has played in clubs in almost all of Germany, many in Europe as well as in cities and countries like Miami, Hong Kong, Moscow and Mexico. After a super Connaisseur night last June, we welcome the team back. Featuring tonight in Tresor a BCR label night: Rotterdam home-based DJ/producer Bas Mooy has been active on many fronts in the techno scene since 1999. Heavily influenced by a city that breaths industrial strength twenty-four-seven, he gradually found his way into creating a unique dark sound. Joseph McGeechan is a Techno/Minimal DJ & producer from Glasgow, Scotland, UK. He co-founded the digital label Backwater Community Recordings in 2008 with Colin Bain and tonight delivers a live set for the fans. Monya is originally from Poland and has seen a quick rise through the techno scene in such a short time. Through hard work and determination this has earned her bookings at the internationally renowned clubs like our own Tresor and many others. She is currently working on her first album for BCR and is busy doing remixes and EPs for other labels like Illegal Alien Records,iF,Translucent, New Yorker Label Kume Records and for many well known artists. Monya's sound is industrial, bass-heavy, hypnotic techno. She is also in charge of the label nights for BCR and is an important part of the Label, recently Monya has also began a new project with Joseph McGeechan. Zurich's Ad.lib also joins this formidable roster of artists, as well as London's Chris Page.
