Biographies,
Ion Ludwig
Dutch born Ion Ludwig (aka Koos Ludwig) is based in Deventer, the Netherlands for two years now. The development of his studio, label Quagmire LTD and own unique sound started in Berlin, back in 2006. Before that time Ludwig released his first avant-gardish EPs for renowned labels as Alphahouse and Underl_ne. Later on Stock 5, Resopal, Thema Motiv Bank among others became the home of his following EP's.
The three and a half years he spent living in Berlin shaped his sounds, influenced by living legends Villalobos, Zip and Johnson. His sound developed towards a hybrid of minimal, jazz, house and techno. While aiming to create an intriguing and mysterious sound in his early years, later on his style moved towards the 'universal' dance floor, while stripping his arrangements and mixes down to the pure essence.
In 2011 Ludwig released five 12" inches on Meander, Be Chosen, Trelik and Tenth Circle, showing up on compilation series for Cocoon and in the record bags of those same living legends discussed earlier. Even though his discography is exceeding over 20 EP's, two full lengths and a dozen remixes and digital releases, Ion Ludwig manage to continually keep a (and he prefers it this way) low profile.
Ludwig's planning a highly eccentric album under a new moniker for a new Dutch label, HENK records this winter. With "Tone Bardo Therapy" he will bring you guitars, vocals, broken slow-motion and indie-pop-vibes. Ion continues to stay focussed to further develop his music career, with new aliases and other projects. Ludwig now also produces music and sound for the advertisement world, as well as TV series and film. Ion Ludwig marked the start of this last year when his music was used for the short Dutch film "Pottenkijkers".
Besides that the launch of his own brand new conceptual label is planned later this year, where Ludwig continues his quest for finding the deeper meaning of club music. For this label he will invite a few of the deepest, low profile underground house characters there are available for remixes.
So whether his music comes out as Ion Ludwig himself or as one of his side projects, there will be plenty of quality tunes coming from his hand for us to enjoy..
Ken & Davy
London living Belgian twins Ken & Davy are co-founders of Down Under, their successful club night which they started at Club Silo in their home country Belgium 4 years ago. Totally passionate about electronic music, the guys are bringing their driving take on deep house and techno into the London scene these days, dj-ing at the city’s coolest warehouse spaces. They have shared the decks with the likes of tINI, Kozo & Cezar, Priku, Valentino Kanzyani, Praslea, in London, and Matthias Tanzmann, Fumiya Tanaka, Federico Molinari, Christian Burkhardt, Matthias Kaden at club Silo. Now they are hosting their night at Belgium’s no. 1 voted club, Fuse in Brussels. To complete their musical journey they nicely blend house with techno, old and new, their sets are forward thinking and energetic, driven by the vibe of the moment. When they are not playing behind the decks you can find them in the studio working on their own productions.
Charlie
Charlie was born in 1989 in Galati, Romania. He Started DJing in 2007 when he felt he needed to share his vision for music with his friends, from that things just got bigger and since 2009 he has been playing warm up sets for many respected artists. In 2011 / 2012 we saw him sharing the decks with: Cezar, Raresh, Praslea, Cristi Cons, Kozo, Alexandra, Piticu, Dan Andrei and more as well as joining the Project London Label and Agency.
